About Esperance ACE

The “Action Committee for Esperance” was established many years ago in order to better represent the community of Esperance, WA in negotiations with Edmonds City Council and Snohomish County.

Esperance is a small enclave, about 1 square mile in size that sits next door to the city of Edmonds. With a population of just over 3600 people, Esperance is part of “unincorporated Snohomish”, meaning that it is not part of a city.

There have been attempts over the past 60 years by Edmonds to annex Esperance, and thus engulf the enclave into its city limits. Without jumping into the politics, members of the community have always been concerned with what this would mean for Esperance and so the Action Committee for Esperance (ACE) was created.
